Finance and Human Resource Management Minister Palanivel Thiyaga Rajan, who announced in the state assembly on Monday, said gender equality would play a major role in bringing about a change. The Government provides horizontal reservation when filling vacancies through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and the Teacher Recruitment Board (DRP).
Responding to a debate on the grant request for the Department of Human Resource Management, the Minister said government posts are filling the vacancies of orphans who lost their parents due to the Govt-19 epidemic, first-generation graduates, and Tamil medium students in government schools.
“Due to the Govt-19 epidemic, the age limit for recruitment exams will be relaxed by two years as the exams are delayed,” Palanivel Thiyaga Rajan said.
